WELCOME to my blog and my photographic journey, where my photography style is dictated by my environment. I am a full time executive member of my household. That's right, I care, feed, instruct, inspire, maintain, a group of amazing individuals and the space they live in. These individuals are my children and husband, that place is my home. Most of the time I photograph where we are together, what we are doing together and most importantly their beautiful expressions. Sometimes I have the wonderful opportunity to photograph another family or event. I post my journey here.

My photographic philosophy:
I celebrate the unique differences in each person, event and place. I relish in capturing life as it happens naturally. I anticipate it! I love creating an emotional image, one that will be cherished. I seek for beauty in the simplest most unexpected places. I enjoy carrying my camera where I go, making an interpretation of that moment and archiving it for good. Creating a beautiful, stunning final print and giving lasting memories of people loved. These things put a smile on my face.

The more I become acquainted with others, the more I grasp human value and the importance of treating people well. This is a lesson that I admit has taken me years to comprehend and I am still working to learn the art of patience. I believe my husband’s family has that quality. They are some of the hardest working people I know, I am amazed at the quality they place on valuing others and working to create healthy boundaries. They struggle like we all do to maintain certain level patience for others and themselves. But I watch them with each other, hard at work, not a complaint to each other. Not one. If they are sick or injured they work, if the conditions outside are arctic-like, they still work. The only time I see their frustrations surface is when their own personal internal limitations flair-up from being human, the wind for blowing so darn hard or they come across a stubborn dairy cow. I have great respect for them. So I am trying to learn from them. My hope is the more I spend time with them, their qualities will rub off on me. Perhaps at the ripe old age of 80 I will be divinely blessed with learned character from all the good people I have been near. I believe if you surround yourself with people who hold the values you long to have, your will discover how those refined persons have learned to polish themselves with the trials and experience they have had. Now this week I am on to Mom life, work at NAI and working on digitally re-mastering some recent bridals I shot. I am also blessed with good work. It grants me the ability to publish my adventures (or images I shoot). I don't think I am the greatest landscape photographer. I wish I had the natural talent others I have seen have. But I enjoy shooting nature without people in it from time to time. Here is the latest cover to our upcoming Inventory Review. I planted one my pics from our Coral Pink Sand Dunes little family trip. I always love that place, it reminds me of the Star Wars sand dunes only in a pleasant way (minus the "man-eating pits of despair" and Jabba the Hut). See the sandy cover below.
