WELCOME to my blog and my photographic journey, where my photography style is dictated by my environment. I am a full time executive member of my household. That's right, I care, feed, instruct, inspire, maintain, a group of amazing individuals and the space they live in. These individuals are my children and husband, that place is my home. Most of the time I photograph where we are together, what we are doing together and most importantly their beautiful expressions. Sometimes I have the wonderful opportunity to photograph another family or event. I post my journey here.

My photographic philosophy:
I celebrate the unique differences in each person, event and place. I relish in capturing life as it happens naturally. I anticipate it! I love creating an emotional image, one that will be cherished. I seek for beauty in the simplest most unexpected places. I enjoy carrying my camera where I go, making an interpretation of that moment and archiving it for good. Creating a beautiful, stunning final print and giving lasting memories of people loved. These things put a smile on my face.

Karl-Erik Bennion & Family

A plug for Keb and his beautiful family. I have been dying to say something about Karl-Erik Bennion or as I have got to know him “Keb”.
Keb is one of the most passionate, dependable artists I know. I met him 7 years ago when he enrolled in my beginning photography class. He was serious back then about the projects I assigned and continues to treat his art the same way now. About 2 years ago we reconnected. I was so impressed with is work I asked him to design my logo. He did a fantastic job. I have seen him produce original, quality work time and time again. His work includes; custom logos, heirloom portraits, web design, corporate branding, etc. I have also learned a great deal from Keb. His knowledge is vast and still he continues to refine his craft. I would recommend Keb to anyone for any project.
His wife asked me to do a quick family-reunion photo shoot this last weekend. Each time I photograph Keb, his wife and his children, I have a lot of fun. They are relaxed, themselves and willing to let me do whatever I want. It was also a blast meeting his extended family. I can see where Keb got his great personality. So thank you Keb for you, your wonderful family and your talent.
